Good Shepherd Names Georgine Olexa, Esq., MBA, Director, Corporate Risk Counsel
Allentown, PA – Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network recently named Georgine Olexa, Esq., M.B.A., as director, corporate risk counsel. In this role, Olexa oversees risk management activities for both Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network in the Lehigh Valley and Good Shepherd Penn Partners, the organization’s joint venture with Penn Medicine in Philadelphia.
As director, corporate risk counsel, Olexa mitigates risk by managing claims, protecting financial resources and elevating the culture of patient safety within the organization. She also chairs the Patient Safety and Medical Ethics committees, and she sits on the Professional Relations/Quality Oversight committee.
Olexa holds a juris doctorate degree from Temple University and an M.B.A. with a concentration in Health-Care Systems Management from DeSales University. She has 26 years of experience in private law, focusing on medical malpractice defense work, along with institutional and physician risk management. Over the past three decades, she has volunteered her time with numerous non-profit organizations. Most recently, Olexa served as director of Risk Management for Lehigh Valley Health Network.
