Pediatric Assistive Technology

Good Shepherd’s Pediatric Equipment Clinic exists to connect children with disabilities and functional challenges with appropriate equipment to improve their independence and everyday function.

The Pediatric Equipment Clinic is held every Wednesday, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Harry C. Trexler Assistive Technology Program, located on the main level of the Good Shepherd Health & Technology Center, 850 South 5th Street, Allentown.

At the Pediatric Equipment Clinic children may be evaluated for:

  • Bath equipment
  • Beds
  • Car seats
  • Lifts
  • Positioning chairs
  • Strollers
  • Toilet equipment

Pediatric Equipment Clinic Process

  • To participate in the clinic, you must receive a physician’s prescription for an “Occupational Therapy Equipment Evaluation.” (You do not have to be a current Good Shepherd patient to participate in the clinic.)
  • Next, call Good Shepherd at 610-776-3100 or Request an Appointment.
  • Following the equipment evaluation, a Good Shepherd clinician will work with you and equipment vendors to help you obtain the proper equipment.
