ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Jeanne Dzurenko, MPH, BSN, NEA-BC, has been nominated and accepted to participate in the 2023-2024 The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) Nurse Ambassador Initiative.
HAP’s Nurse Ambassador Initiative launched in late 2021 and allows nurse leaders, such as Dzurenko, to provide expertise and insight to state and congressional policy makers on key issues affecting the nursing workforce.
“I am honored to be accepted into HAP’s Nurse Ambassador Initiative and to represent Good Shepherd,” said Dzurenko. “I look forward to the opportunity to educate those making policy decisions around health care, particularly on issues that directly impact nurses and hospitals on a daily basis.”
An accomplished health-care executive with more than 25 years of experience in advancing patient outcomes and promoting nursing excellence in small hospital settings and large academic health systems, Dzurenko oversees Good Shepherd’s nursing, patient safety, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, infection prevention, quality, regulatory compliance, education, wound care, staffing and float pool teams.
