The Fleming Center for Robotics in Rehabilitation

Welcome to The Fleming Center for Robotics in Rehabilitation, a forward-thinking hub that will identify and test robotic and wearable technology to further provide leading-edge rehabilitation care and, ultimately, contribute to the future of rehabilitation.

Created in 2023, the center brings to Good Shepherd the only rehabilitation robotics center in the region.

Made possible by a major gift from the Fleming Foundation of Zionsville, Pa. The Fleming Foundation was created by the late businessman and philanthropist Richard Fleming and is now led by his daughter, Trinka Arnold.

Good Shepherd Rehabilitation sees more than 250,000 outpatient visits and 1,000 inpatient admissions for adult and pediatric patients a year, including for stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, complex medical conditions, chronic pain and orthopedics. Good Shepherd also partners with Penn Medicine to provide rehabilitation and specialty services in the greater Philadelphia area and New Jersey through Good Shepherd Penn Partners.

The region’s leading rehabilitation network has been pioneering solutions for more than 115 years, serving as a proving ground for new and innovative rehabilitation technologies, and testing and working directly with manufacturers to bring advanced solutions to patients.
