Long-Term Acute Care (LTACH)

A long-term acute care hospital, also known as an LTACH, provides long-term acute care to patients who are too ill for other care (i.e., skilled nursing facility or acute rehabilitation hospital), require daily physician care or need to take rehabilitation at a slower pace.

Based out of Good Shepherd Specialty Hospital in Bethlehem, Pa., Good Shepherd’s LTACH team features experts in ventilator weaning and respiratory care.
