Every day, life-changing miracles happen at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation’s Pediatrics program — where potential becomes reality.

Children receive compassionate rehabilitation care using the latest therapies and leading technologies. Meanwhile, families find hope, seeing their children with complex medical conditions and severe injuries achieve more than they ever thought possible.

The cost to provide specialized care to these children continues to rise, while the reimbursements we receive do not keep pace. We rely on the generosity of our neighbors and the business community to help us continue to serve children and families in need of our services, regardless of their inability to pay.

In 2025, Good Shepherd’s Special Events will support the work of our Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital Emily Howatt Pliskatt Pediatric Unit in Bethlehem, the only specialized inpatient pediatric rehabilitation facility the region with programs designed specifically to treat children with complex medical and congenital conditions.

Disability Inclusion Day

DaVinci Science Center | Allentown, Pa.

Every child wants to be part of the fun, and our 2nd Annual Disability Inclusion Day at the DaVinci Science Center gives our pediatric patients, their families and the public the chance to participate in special, accessible activities, and interact with the museum exhibits in a day designed just for them. Children receive “passports” to guide them through activities. Community partners will be on hand to connect families with local resources to enhance the lives of children with severe injuries and disabilities.

Gala in the Garden

The Gala in the Garden is a must-attend event in the Lehigh Valley. This elegant, black-tie-optional celebration in the gardens of our South Allentown Campus features hand-crafted cocktails, a sushi bar, gourmet dinner and desserts, live music, dancing (wear sneakers or other fun, comfortable footwear!) and an inspiring program showcasing the impact of Good Shepherd’s Pediatrics program on a local child and family.
