At Good Shepherd, outpatient rehabilitation treatment programs are designed to help patients regain function following an injury, illness or surgery. Each treatment plan is individually developed with your specific goals and needs in mind, and each patient is treated as a full participating member of the Good Shepherd rehabilitation team.
Certified physical and occupational therapists and assistants, along with certified speech-language pathologists, provide individualized outpatient care at Good Shepherd.
Each patient receives an individually designed rehabilitation program, based on his or her medical needs and therapy goals.
Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network holds contracts with most insurance providers, and we will work with any insurance provider on behalf of our patients.
No, you have the right to choose your rehabilitation provider. If you don’t see Good Shepherd on the list, ask your care manager/discharge planner for a referral to Good Shepherd or call our Admissions director at 1.888.44.REHAB (73422).
Inpatient rehabilitation provides acute physical and cognitive rehabilitation for individuals following stroke, spinal cord or brain injury, amputation or other illnesses and injuries.
No, you do not need to be a patient in an acute-care hospital in order to be admitted to an inpatient rehabilitation facility. In fact, Good Shepherd’s Second Chance Program is available to patients with chronic conditions (i.e., Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, post-stroke) who want to increase function and independence.
