DIY Switch-Adapted Toy Workshop

Join Good Shepherd Rehabilitation at Empower+ on Dec. 12 for a free DIY switch-adapted toy workshop, making toys more accessible to children with disabilities.

This in-person community event is for parents and caregivers who are interested in learning how to adapt a toy to be activated by a switch. You’ll learn how to create a battery interrupter and a switch, and how to use a switch to activate a toy.

Please bring a battery-operated toy with simple on-off operation with you.

You’ll leave the workshop with a battery interrupter and a switch for your toy.

Pre-registration is required.

Sign up for a one-hour block of time. Choose from:

• 10-11 a.m.
• 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• 12-1 p.m.
• 1-2 p.m.
