Why Choose Us
Learn more about Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital, a destination for recovery for stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury and complex medical rehabilitation.
STROUDSBURG, Pa. — Good Shepherd Rehabilitation received a generous donation of $25,000 from AllOne Charities to support our Vision Therapy Program. This funding enabled our Stroudsburg outpatient site to purchase, install and train on three specialized pieces of equipment to better serve Monroe County.
Good Shepherd’s Vision Therapy Program, the largest of its kind in the region, provides essential services to individuals of all ages who experience vision-related problems due to neurological injuries or developmental disorders. This includes conditions like traumatic brain injury, concussion, stroke, autism, sensory processing issues and other vision impairments.
Specially trained occupational therapists work closely with local optometrists to help patients overcome neurological and developmental vision deficiencies, improving their overall visual function.
When the visual system is compromised, it can result in serious challenges such as impaired balance, double vision, limited field of vision and difficulties with reading, learning and navigating daily tasks. Addressing these issues is key to improving the quality of life for our patients.
Thanks to the support of AllOne Charities, we are able to continue expanding our services, ensuring more individuals in Stroudsburg and beyond have access to vision therapy.
