Why Choose Us
Learn more about Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital, a destination for recovery for stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury and complex medical rehabilitation.
As one of a handful of “Centers of Excellence” in the United States to pioneer Trexo Plus, Good Shepherd Pediatrics is seeking children with cerebral palsy to participate in a research study and benefit from therapy in the robotic technology.
The Trexo is wearable technology that empowers children with lower extremity weakness and/or spasticity to walk — maybe even for the first time in their lives.
The technology features a high-tech walker that allows children to walk hands-free in a safe, correct and consistent manner. Good Shepherd Pediatrics’ highly trained team controls and monitors the device from a tablet, while working directly with the child.
To participate in the study, children must meet certain criteria, including:
Good Shepherd has devices in three sizes that fit children from age 1 to their late teens.
Parents must complete an intake questionnaire to determine the child’s eligibility. To get started with the study, contact Jennifer Schueck, MS, OTR/L, at 610-737-4037 or contact us online.
