ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Good Shepherd Rehabilitation President and CEO Michael Spigel, PT, MHA, has been named to Lehigh Valley Business’ 2024 Healthcare Power List.
The annual list (subscription required) recognizes “those who shape our communities and influence our quality of life through the health care institutions upon which our society depends, particularly during these past few years.”
Spigel, who has led Good Shepherd since 2020 (see video below), shared how he views his primary role to be one that creates an environment where the rehabilitation network’s 1,300 employees can provide the best care to patients and long-term care residents in Good Shepherd’s 8-county market.
“Every year is filled with wonderful stories of achievement,” Spigel told Lehigh Valley Business. “Often a single story of an amazing recovery from one of our patients is worth a year of accomplishments. This year, what I am most proud of is what our patients have told us about the care we provided them. Many of our services are among the top in the country for patient engagement. Nothing makes me prouder of the people I get to work with daily.”
