Early Intervention Services

The Good Shepherd Pediatrics Early Intervention Program is a provider of Early Intervention developmental care for children from birth to 3 years old.

Services are available in Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton and Schuylkill counties.

Early Intervention services, which include physical therapy, occupational therapy and/or speech therapy, are designed to meet the developmental needs of children with disabilities. Services also meet the family’s needs related to enhancing a child’s development in one or more of the following areas:

• Physical development, including vision and hearing
• Cognitive development
• Communication development
• Social or emotional development
• Adaptive development, including feeding and sensory processing

Early Intervention Services Eligibility

As determined by the county, program eligibility includes:

• Significant delay in one or more areas of development
• Specialist’s determination that a delay is evident despite not showing up on assessments
• Known physical or mental condition that has high potential for developmental delays

NOTE: Where appropriate, you can specifically choose Good Shepherd Pediatrics to provide Early Intervention services.
