Hospital Patient & Guest Services

It’s our goal to provide a calm, welcoming and inspiring environment at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital for all patients and guests.

Patient Rooms

Our modern hospital has 76 private rooms on three floors for patients to recover from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, complex medical rehabilitation, pulmonary conditions and more. Each room features:

  • Natural light with window views
  • Custom artwork depicting nature scenes from through Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania
  • Spacious bathroom
  • Customized and remote room controls for lights and room shades
  • Large closet and drawer space
  • Free WiFi internet
  • Smart televisions with local cable TV or connections to your streaming services, as well as Good Shepherd TV, featuring information about services, events, patient success stories and more
  • Desk space for loved ones to plug in remotely

Outside of patient rooms, there are spacious lounges on each floor for visiting with guests, reading and relaxing.

The Bistro

On the first floor, The Bistro provides fresh, daily prepared food in a relaxing, picturesque setting. With automatic doors that open out to our covered patio overseeing the Therapy and Activity Gardens, you can enjoy food and refreshments in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Weekday service hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Weekend and holiday service hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Bistro also offers 24/7 access to a self-serve vending machine for food items after regular food-service hours. It features fresh, daily prepared quick-pick items from the kitchen as well as beverages.

Therapy and Activities Garden

Nestled on the northeast corner of the hospital property, just outside of The Bistro and Empower+, is our gorgeous Therapy and Activities Garden. This peaceful space offers physical, spiritual and social ways for patients to undergo therapy and participate in activities while staying at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital. In particular, the space features various types of surfaces for patients to practice walking.

A golf putting green and raised gardening beds are popular activities for patients to participate in and practice for going home.

A calm and welcoming environment for patient families and visitors, too, the garden area has benches, a pergola, wheelchair accessible trails around the property, green space and more. The garden also features an outdoor space for small concerts and events.

Meditation Chapel

The Meditation Chapel is located on the first floor of Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital, just down the hall from The Bistro. The Chapel, featuring special lighting that mimics stained-glass windows, is open 24 hours; all are welcome.

Worship services and other offerings, led by Good Shepherd Chaplain Carolyn Evans, MAPC, MDIV, MHSC Crisis & Trauma, are scheduled weekly.
