Inpatient Admission Criteria

At Good Shepherd Rehabilitation, our inpatient team members will work to understand your specific goals and create a plan of care.

Patients who qualify for inpatient rehabilitation usually require:

• 24-hour nursing care
• Medical necessity requiring daily oversight and at least three face-to-face visits per week with the rehabilitation doctor
• At least three hours per day, five days per week, of intensive rehabilitation therapy, or at least 15 hours within a consecutive seven-day period. Physical, occupational and speech therapy is available.

Patients may also benefit from:

• 24-hour respiratory care
• Neuropsychology, recreation therapy, laboratory, radiology, dietician services, care management and transitional care specialists, if needed
