Usually present immediately at childbirth, clubfoot is a congenital abnormality where your child’s foot is twisted out of position.
A common birth defect that primarily occurs in babies who are otherwise healthy, clubfoot can be treated soon after birth through pediatric physical therapy from the Good Shepherd Pediatrics team.
Treatment options include the Ponseti Method. Through a series of manipulations, the foot is stretched to reposition and/or reshape it, allowing your child to lead an active life.
